Mosiah 21
Verse 14:
It took the Nephites a long time before they humbled themselves enough to ask the Lord for help with their bondage with the Lamanites. They went into battle three times losing many lives before the did so. But they did finally humble themselves sand call upon the Lord. I am too much like this. I do not call upon the Lord as often as I should as I am going through trials and especially in the good times. I need to work on making this a priority in my life. I want to develop a stronger relationship with my Heavenly Father and in order to do so I need to humble myself and recognize a need for his hand in my life and also recognize the many great blessings I receive from him on a daily basis.
Verse 15:
Because the people we slow to remember the Lord, he was slow to answer their prayers, but he still answered. That brings peace to know that even after they went astray and forgot the Lord, he still was their for them. He might have been slow to offer relief to their burdens, but he did offer relief. He loves me so much and wants to help me as I struggle through the pains and trials of life, but He needs for me to call upon him more often, especially in the good times. My problem is that things start going good and I forget that I need to continue to develop my relationship with him even in those times. It is something I must work on.
