2 Nephi 30

Verse 2

The covenant people are those who repent of their sins and accept Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer of the world. It isn’t a group of people in a certain country or land. IT is anyone who will accept the atonement in their life.

Verse 18

What a great day when Satan will have no more power over us. That will come in the millennium, but it can come personally much sooner. Satan doesn’t have a body. He forfeited that right when he rebelled again Heavenly Father’s plan. He decided he knew better and be so doing he was cursed to be just a spirit forever. Because he doesn’t have a body he can have no real power over us unless we allow him to. We can allow Satan to have power over us when we fall to his temptations and start committing sins. When we strive to avoid evil and temptation we tell Satan that he has no power over us and that we are going to remain true to the covenants that we make. I do not want Satan to have any power over me.
